Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Web Developer to join our logistics company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, coding, and modifying websites, from layout to function, and according to our company’s specifications. You will work closely with our IT and marketing teams to create visually appealing and user-friendly websites that reflect our brand and improve customer experience. Your role will also involve maintaining and optimizing our existing web infrastructure to support our logistics operations effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Website Development: Design, develop, and maintain the company’s websites and web applications, ensuring they are functional, user-friendly, and optimized for performance.
- UI/UX Design: Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to create intuitive, visually appealing, and responsive user interfaces for our websites and web applications.
- Backend Development: Develop and maintain the server-side components of our web applications, ensuring seamless integration with databases and other systems.
- Integration with Logistics Systems: Integrate the website with internal logistics and supply chain management systems to streamline operations and improve user experiences.
- Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices to protect the company’s web infrastructure and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Testing and Debugging: Perform thorough testing and debugging of web applications to ensure they are free of errors and meet the company’s quality standards.
- SEO Optimization: Work on search engine optimization to increase the website’s visibility and improve search engine rankings.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support for website-related issues, troubleshoot problems, and ensure the continuous availability of the company’s web services.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, and operations, to understand project requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all web development projects, including codebases, APIs, and user manuals.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in web development, preferably within the logistics or supply chain industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Experience with backend technologies such as Node.js, PHP, Python, or Ruby on Rails.
- Knowledge of database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Familiarity with web hosting, DNS management, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience with API development and integration.
- Understanding of web security principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices.
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
