Position Overview:
EZ Freight Inc. is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our day-to-day operational processes. The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the organization runs efficiently and effectively, managing various departments, and leading initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and overall performance. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight: Manage and coordinate all operational activities within the organization, ensuring that processes run smoothly and meet organizational goals.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within operations and implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of operational staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage operational budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring that financial goals are met. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize resource allocation.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance and drive data-driven decision-making. Prepare and present performance reports to senior management.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as sales, marketing, logistics, and finance, to ensure alignment and support organizational objectives.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes to maintain high standards of service and product delivery. Address any quality issues promptly and develop corrective action plans.
  • Supply Chain Management: Oversee supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products and services.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all operations comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Stay updated on changes in regulations that may affect operations.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Collaborate with the customer service team to address customer inquiries and concerns, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and service delivery.
  • Technology Implementation: Evaluate and implement operational technology solutions to enhance efficiency, streamline processes, and improve data management.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in operations management or a related field, with a proven track record of improving operational efficiency and managing teams.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse workforce.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with operational management software and ERP systems.
  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle unexpected challenges in a fast-paced environment.
