Mooring Specialist Operates in Seattle and Tacoma Ports
Crowley has announced its expansion in harbor services by acquiring Main Line Inc., a vessel mooring company located in Seattle. The Jacksonville, Florida-based provider of global logistics, both land and sea, stated that this acquisition will enable Crowley to offer vessel mooring and ship assist services to customers at the Seattle and Tacoma ports in Washington. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed, and Main Line employees will be transitioning to Crowley under the asset purchase agreement.
James C. Fowler, senior vice president and general manager of Crowley Shipping, emphasized the importance of this addition, stating, “Incorporating vessel mooring into our harbor services ensures optimal coordination between the vital services of vessel mooring and ship assist.”
